Today we celebrate the Epiphany of our Lord – the revelation of Jesus as Savior of the world.

With today’s celebration we are presented with two most profound truths – that Jesus Christ is the perfect revelation of God, and that this revelation is meant for all, that God’s salvation is extended to everyone.

Male, and female – God saves.

Black, brown, and white – God saves.

Jew, Christian, and Muslim – God saves.

Sinners, and righteous – God saves.

Able-bodied, and disabled – God saves.

Poor, and rich – God saves.

Conservative, and liberal – God saves.

Educated, and ignorant – God saves.

Gay, and straight – God saves.

Two thousand years ago God’s epiphany reached beyond the chosen Jewish people to all people. And it is the same two thousand years later.  God’s revelation and the saving grace of Jesus Christ are meant for all – no one is left out.  No one is outside the reach of God’s saving power.

This is our Epiphany.  This is our celebration today, and every day.
