Today we celebrate the Memorial of Saint Thomas Aquinas – one of our greatest philosophers and theologians.

St. Thomas Aquinas’ contribution to our Church and our world is immense.

But maybe the simple words of the prayer attributed to St. Thomas Aquinas are his most important words, words filled with a wisdom only God can provide, words that we can make our own:

“Grant me, O Lord my God, a mind to know you, a heart to seek you, wisdom to find you, conduct pleasing to you, faithful perseverance in waiting for you, and a hope of finally embracing you.”
